Oliver Morris BMus(Hons), PgDip Oliver was born in Yorkshire in 1982. He began to play the piano at six and violin a year later. In 1998 he won a place at Chetham's School of Music to study violin and piano. Oliver continued his studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester studying with Benedict Holland and Thomas Kemp. In his time at the RNCM Oliver was awarded a Bachelor of Music Honours (2/1) and a Postgraduate Diploma (Merit). Oliver was a member of the resident orchestra at the Cantiere Internazionale D'Arte Montepulciano in Italy during summer 2002 and 2003. Whilst at the RNCM he led the New Ensemble at the Lindberg Festival and the Modern Opera Orchestra. Oliver's freelance work includes Hallé Orchestra tour of Spain, BBC Philharmonic Tour's of Japan, South Korea and China. London Prom's with the Hallé Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and BBC Philharmonic Orchestra as well as recording sessions for Sony Manchester and 'The Doves'.
