Hazel Ross BMus(Hons), PgDip Hazel is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, where she studied under Maciej Rakowski and Benedict Holland. On completion of her undergraduate degree she went on to be awarded a distinction for a Postgraduate Diploma in performance. As a musician concert tours have brought opportunities to perform in Europe, Canada and Australia and prior to her studies at RNCM, Hazel was a finalist two years successively in the prestigious Norman Trottman Competition. As a soloist Hazel has performed Spring from Vivaldi's Four Seasons in St Martin in the Fields, London and Havanaise by Saint Saens with Bromley Symphony Orchestra. She also performs regularly in solo and duo recitals across the country and with her string quartet.
Hazel's freelance work includes the Hallé Orchestra, New Orpheus Ensemble (Leader, 2005), Matisse Symphony & Chamber Orchestras, Madrid (Leader, 2003), Cantierre d'arte Chamber & Opera Orchestras, Italy (member 2003), performance with Richard Hawley for Channel 4 Television, recordings for Murco Record Company at Soho Studios and recordings for Sony Manchester.
